Angela Franklyn-Lewis

Angela sings classic songs from The Great American Songbook – Hollywood, Broadway, and Tin Pan Alley from the 1920’s to the 1950’s. A sophisticated and professional act to suit any occasion.

Angela is a professional singer with over 20 years’ experience. She specialises in music from The Great American Songbook, and can present anything from a full concert performance with songs and banter, to background music for weddings, functions and restaurants.

Angela was one of 30 singers worldwide to be offered a place at Yale University’s prestigious Cabaret Conference Class of 2006, where she honed her skills with some of America’s top vocal talents. Prior to this she toured the UK with her successful Andrews Sisters tribute group Company B, performing at such prestigious venues as The Cabinet War Rooms, Bletchley Park, The Mayor’s V.E Day Celebrations, Biggin Hill Air Show, Greenwich Navel College, and Dublin’s Tassel Club. Since her arrival back home in New Zealand, she has presented sell out performances of her show ‘The Great American Songbook Meets The Great Kiwi Summer’ at venues such as TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre at Pah Homestead, and Eden Gardens.

Angela sings accompanied by top quality backing tracks from the USA, giving you the sound of a live jazz band without the extra costs and space a band would require.
