Originally from Christchurch, Charlotte Jane is now one of Sydney’s fresh talents, bringing a unique combination of vocals and violin to the stage. Together with her husband and guitarist, Shami, they frequently travel to and from NZ and their band are in demand performing for corporate functions, weddings, concerts and festivals both locally and internationally and never fail to impress. A multi- talented entertainer, Charlotte Jane’s experience includes performing for crowds of up to 100,000 for Coca Cola’s NZ Christmas in the Park, plus performing for major clients such as Nelson Jazz Festival, The Australian Screen Sound Guild, Australian Women’s Weekly and The Sydney Cricket Ground Trust to name a few.
The Charlotte Jane Band deliver jazz that grooves, and music that moves you. They reinvent classic standards and create new grooves with unforgettable appeal, right through to funk and beats to get everyone on the dancefloor. Having also trained in acting, Charlotte Jane brings a refreshing combination of soulful storytelling and musical finesse to each performance, with vocal training from the Sydney Conservatorium as well as qualifications in
violin, and vast performance experience with many of Sydney’s best jazz musicians at top venues. Watch out for their debut EP release later this year.
