The Christchurch All Star Big Band is made up of the best Jazz musicians in Christchurch. This band will have you swinging all night long. Think Frank Sinatra then put on a theme night!!! Great fun and fantastic music.
We have had the 'Big Band' perform twice for large events that we have hosted and both times they were a great success. One event was 1930's themed and the 12 piece band they provided were fantastic, guests attending the event were on the dance floor all night and really enjoyed the music. We have since booked the band for another event and again were very impressed as were the guests. We have found working with this group of talented musicians very satisfying, they were great to work with in the lead up to both events being flexible and professional with what they could provide and creative in fitting in with the theme of both events. We would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone wanting a fun and entertaining evening.
This band are specialists in swing Big Band music from 1930 to today. They have performed all around Christchurch including functions for the Christchurch City Council, Riccarton House, Fundraisers etc..

The Christchurch All Stars Big Band performed at the 'It's Swing Time In Christchurch' event at Wigram Air Force Muesum as part of Beca Heritage Week in October 2009 ... they were awesome and exceeded the expectation of our audience of almost 900 keen swing music fans!
Their professionalism and flexibility to work with our event objectives and deliver a creative experience which helped to tell the story of the wars years through music was wonderful - they were a pleasure to work with.
I'm looking forward to my next event that needs a big band so that I have the opportunity to work with the band again!
I have no hesitation in recommending them.
