Getafix are a classic rock covers band from Wellington, with more than 80 years experience in the music industry between them! All of the Getafix playlist are top 10 hits, and the band members are able to emulate the original bands sound to the max!
With songs by NZ bands such as Split Enz, Th Dudes, The Exponents, The Mockers, DD Smash, Dragon and Crowded House, and Aussie bands such as Aussie Crawl, The Choirboys, INXS, Diesel, Cold Chisel, Jimmy Barnes and ACDC, they have all the bases covered! Also in the mix is the likes of Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, The Police, The Doobie Brothers and Guns'n'Roses, as well as modern rock bands like Kings of Leon, Sublime and The Killers!
Getafix are led by Lead singer/guitarist Grant Sullivan, who is one of NZs most sought after professional vocalists, who has a long list of gigs and TV shows behind him!
He has performed in front of 60,000 people when he sang the national anthem for the opening of the 2007 Rugby League World Cup at Aussie Stadium in Sydney Australia, and last year performed with the NZSO at Frank Kitts park in Wellington!
Lead Guitarist/Vocalist Chris Cresswell and Bass Guitarist/Vocalist Frazer Jones have extensive experience in all genres of music, and have both been performing in bands for over 20 years!
Drummer/Vocalist Vinnie McParland has been performing with top Wellington band The Noodles for many years, and now brings his drumming skills to Getafix!
