Eclectic 3 piece multi-instrumental classic & current covers band

Lola and the Dobros are brilliant! We hired them for our wedding in January 2012. Really professional, great communication, and everything set up in advance of the wedding (not bad considering we asked them to drive 3 and half hours north of Auckland). Music was awesome. Great mix of tunes - brilliant for wedding party as tunes are not boring "old man" covers but style is such that there is appeal for different ages. And the group is tight! Everyone commented on what a great band you guys were so massive thanks for that. Brilliant energy and they played all night! And great to have a band that knows how to have a good time as well! Would definitely recommend hire for wedding, party or other function. Thanks!

This energetic acoustic trio have an eclectic repertoire, playing everything from Outkast to Oasis, from The Beatles to The Strokes, from Mumford and Sons to Mika, from Katy Perry to The Kinks. With their array of instruments , harmonies and humour they put a unique spin on their performances which truly sets them aside from the rest.

They are also unique in the sense that they don’t have a drummer, instead playing a verity of drums and other percussion instruments with spare feet, legs or arms. This eliminates the sometimes over-powering aspect of drums, while still providing enough oomph to get everyone up and dancing

Praise for Lola and the Do’Bros (Infocus magazine)

“Thank goodness then for bands like Lola and The Do’Bros, who remind us of what music can sound like”

“Perhaps it was their inclusive song selection, or maybe their old time charm, which saw them bring together an audience as varied as their set-list”

“when a good night is had by all, it goes to show that you really can judge a band by its covers”
