The Smashbox boys came up and played at our wedding up in Blenheim on the 5th February 2010 and they absolutely rocked. From the first dance till the last the guys had the crowd going absolutely crazy and it really made the night truly memorable. All our guests are all saying they're best band going round and I completely agree. If you need a band these are the guys you want. Cheers.

On 28th November 2009 Kane and the boys played at our wedding at Mt Vernon Lodge, Akaroa. You provided both us and our guests the most entertaining evening and our guests were singing your praises in the days following. Nothing was ever a problem for you all. Even after finshing your set you came through with one last request. The energy and enthusiam amongest our wedding guests went to show how great you guys are!
Awesome effort, we highly recommend Smashbox to any function. Thanks guys!

PricewaterhouseCoopers chose Smashbox to play at our mid-winter function in July 2009 and it was a choice that proved to be a popular one. Smashbox was outstanding, their mix of old and newer songs along with varying genres was the perfect mix to get virtually everyone in attendance up on the d-floor (not a bad effort by the band since we are all accountants!!). The band were very professional to deal with in the lead-up to the event and their two sets lasting over two hours ran smoothly. Also, their mighting system and disco ball was a hit with the ladies!! We certainly hope to use Smashbox for future events and reccomend to other businesses in Canterbury to keep Smashbox in mind when planning your next end of year, or mid year function. Good job boys, Rock Out!!

On Saturday night Smashbox played at my 21st. They were awesome. Very professional start, contacted me a few days prior to sort out exactly what we wanted for the night and then turned up on the day and did a decent setup and sound check. They turned up that night on time, and started rocking and sounded great. It was a pretty chilled out atmosphere before they started playing but within 2 songs they had most of the 100 people there, up and rocking. They played 2 sweet sets, every single song went off and they played every single song exceptionally while working the crowd at the same time. The gig was highlighted by some epic guitar breaks, solos from the tops of tables and some rock covers of some songs you wouldn't expect! The last hour of the set everyone was going mental. They loved them. Everyone was asking me who they were, and where they could see them again because they were so good. Will recommend them to everyone and look forward to seeing them again soon!

Smashbox played at our wedding and we couldn't have been happier with their performance, professionalism, attitude or presentation. They play a great range of music across the eras and play it all extremely well. We appreciated how easy they were to deal with and their ability and willingness to learn new songs - such as the one for our first dance. We'll be singing their praises for a long time to come! They really topped off our night. Thanks Smashbox.

On 13th Sept 08 the Cashmere Netball Club had Smashbox play at their end of year Prize giving. They band catered for all ages (7 - 40 years old plus) and they did a fantastic job. Great feedback was received about the band, the quality of music and the atmosphere they created on the night. Fantastic night had by all. Smashbox got everyone up dancing and really knew how to work the crowd and involve everyone.
I would highly recommend this band to anyone!
